2001 COMMONWEALTH GOLD MEDAL FROM COACH JOHN TO RONNIE
JUNE 27 UPDATE:  SAT 1070

    RONNIE HAS QUICKLY ESTABLIHED HIMSELF AS ONE OF THE PREMIERE LEAPING GUARDS IN THE GAME.  HIS ABILITY TO GO OVER THE SQUARE ON THE BACKBOARD IS MATCHED BY FEW PLAYERS AND HE PRESENTS BIG TIME PROBLEMS TO OPPOSING TEAMS WHEN HE POST UP.  HE HAS A QUICK FIRST STEP TO THE BASKET AND PLAYS SOLID DEFENSE.  RONNIE HAS ADDED QUICKNESS TO OUR BREAKS AND HELPS APPLY PRESSURE IN OUR NEW TRAPS. IN SPRING 2001 PLAY RONNIE HAS TAKEN THE BALL TO THE HOLE WITH SOME AMAZING DUNKS ESPECIALLY IN MAY COMPETITION.   RONNIE PLAYS FOR COACH BUTCH KELLER AT STEWARD HIGH IN RICHMOND.

Ron Spears – Richmond, VA – Ron was a late addition to the week and really
proved that he belonged with his ability to shoot. Look for Ron to have a
breakout year in the Richmond Metro area.
